A TEACHER who had an ‘inappropriate’ liaison with a sixth form girl at their school in Newton Abbot has been dismissed, it was confirmed this week.

The member of staff was suspended at the end of August as reports of his unprofessional conduct with the 18-year-old were investigated.

It has since emerged that the teacher – whose name is known but not being printed – has been sacked from his post.

And it is now thought likely that the transgressor will also be struck off as a teacher.
