A YOUNG woman from Bickington who began her career at the Moorland Hotel continues to flourish in the industry as she wins a prestigious award.
When enterprising Elizabeth Frediani went to Exeter College to study business, she could never have dreamt that her career path would take her all over the country.
For, now aged twenty-four, she is a Roving General Manager with the Coaching Inn Group and has recently scooped their prestigious Unlocking Potential Award.
‘It was such a fabulous surprise,’ said Elizabeth, who first went to work as an eighteen-year-old receptionist at The Moorland Hotel on Dartmoor.
‘I simply loved the job and began working my way up through the ranks to the point where the group decided I was ready to go out on the road supporting other hotel teams where needed’, Elizabeth added.
‘I mostly work in the South-West including The Forest Park Hotel in the New Forest and The Royal Oak in Welshpool and am currently Acting General Manager at the historic Tudor House in Tewkesbury’, Elizabeth said.
‘I just love the camaraderie of being part of a wider family of colleagues and there is certainly plenty of variety in my life’, added Elizabeth, who took on her roving role last July,
Presenting her with her trophy at a black-tie awards ceremony at The Engine Shed venue in Lincoln was Adam Charity, Chief Operating Officer of The Coaching Inn Group.
Mr Charity said Elizabeth, with her great enthusiasm and growing experience, was a most worthy winner of their Unlocking Potential Award.
