Lord of the Dance at the Princess Theatre in Torquay dazzled and captivated audiences from start to finish, writes Iris Edwards .

Created, produced, directed, and choreographed by the legendary Michael Flatley, the show is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary tour, proving that its appeal remains as strong as ever.

The production brings to life the dreams of the Little Spirit. It follows the timeless battle between good and evil, while also exploring themes of love and temptation. The Lord of the Dance faces the Dark Lord and his army of Warlords, while Morrighan the Temptress attempts to lure him away from his true love, Saoirse.

The cast brought remarkable energy and commitment to their roles. The show embodied the confidence, charisma, and signature flair associated with Michael Flatley's style, while The Little Spirit told a vivid story through expressive facial expressions and graceful movement. Erin the Goddess narrated the production through song, delivering each piece with power and effortless control. The live musicians further enhanced the atmosphere, encouraging audience members to clap along and become part of the performance.

The choreography was undoubtedly the highlight. The dancers' footwork was immaculate, producing a thrilling rhythm that echoed throughout the theatre.
