Fans of soul and Motown are in for a treat this month when Roy G. Hemmings, the longest-serving former member of the legendary Drifters, returns with his spectacular Hits of Motown Show to the Babbacombe Theatre on Saturday August 22.
A true showman with a career spanning over four decades, Roy worked alongside Drifters founder Johnny Moore for more than 20 years, performing around the globe with his smooth vocals and relaxed style.
Roy will be joined on stage by the glamorous Love Supremes, whose silky harmonies and slick choreography add an extra sparkle, and the powerhouse Dictionary of Soul Band, who will help create the full live Motown experience.
Tickets for the 7.30pm gig can be booked at www.babbacombe-theatre.com or by calling the box office on 01803 328385
