ONE of the top ten operas is the performance of choice for South Devon-based Red Earth Opera next month.

La Traviata, Verdi’s tragic story of two young lovers, will be performed at St Gregory’s Church in Dawlish on May 2 and Chudleigh Parish Church on May 3.

The production will feature two superb young singers, soprano Cecilia Zhang as Violetta and tenor Jamie Farrow as Alfredo. REO also welcome Roman Zosan as Baron Douphol and baritone Harrison Morton-Deaville, who has performed with REO previously as Henry VIII in Anna Bolena, will be making a return visit, this time in the role of Alfredo’s father, Georgio Germont.

Both performances start at 7 pm and tickets are available online at [email protected] or at ticketsource.co.uk/southdevonsingers, at £20.
