PLANS for a new visitors' entrance to Newton Abbot's civic amenity site on the Brunel Industrial Estate have been scrapped.

Teignbridge Council backtracked after a storm of protest from businesses which maintained that vehicles travelling to the proposed new gateway at the end of Minerva Way would have to queue, thus jamming up the whole estate.
