The rich legacy of tinworking and copper mining in Belstone will be explored during a community day hosted by Dartmoor Tinworking Research Group tomorrow, February 24.

The event will be at Belstone Village Hall, from 10am to 5pm.

A spokesman for the event said: ‘Two talks, a walk, exhibitions, bookstalls and afternoon tea will provide excellent stimulation for discovery and discussion.

‘The event will be free of charge but donations will be requested for morning tea and coffee.’

Tom Greeves and Chris Walpole will speak and there will be a three-mile walk to Lady Brook. Afternoon tea will then be provided at a charge.
