A TOWN centre eyesore site could be in line for a major development of flats and commercial units.

The Seymour Horwell site in Wolborough Street, Newton Abbot, has remained empty for almost ten years since the firm relocated to Kingsteignton.

Now estate agent Complete is working in partnership with the Londond-based landowners and a Newton Abbot area-based developer to transform the area.

A planning application is due to be submitted to Teignbridge Council planners soon.

The plans are for 11,000 sq ft of commercial floor space and between 18 and 24 mostly two-bedroom flats.
