FAMILIES in Newton Abbot are being invited to step into a real-life Easter adventure as the town centre is set to transform into an interactive trail.
Organised by Hayley of Yellow Umbrella Gifts, the brand new trail, which begins on Good Friday and will run throughout the Easter half-term, invites children to become ‘Chief Code-Breakers’ and follow a trail of hidden letters placed in shop windows and landmarks throughout the town centre.
‘Whether it’s bright spring sunshine or a touch of classic April drizzle, the trail promises a fun way for families to explore the town while supporting local businesses’, Hayley said.
The trail follows the story of Barnaby, a whimsical bunny who lost his secret Easter note and his magic umbrella during a spring storm.
Having first collected a trail map from the Bank Street gift shop, would-be trial goers will then set about the town collecting letters to help unscramble Barnaby’s secret message.
Everyone taking part with receive a certificate and a special Easter treat.
But there are larger prizes up for grabs too.
There are three parts to the trial - bronze, silver and gold - with winners being selected at random.
