AROUND 40 people flocked to Newton Abbot’s Keyberry Hotel at the weekend for a fashion event, all in the name of charity.

Nineteen-year-old Megan Lloyd and her boyfriend Liam Wickham, 20, organised a Colour Your Wardrobe For Autism event in a bid to raise cash for the National Autistic Society.

The duo managed to raise a total of £431 for the charity which the couple hold close to their hearts.

Liam’s youngest brother is severely autistic and the pair believe the organisation works hard on promoting awareness of the condition and helps to support autistic people in need.

Megan said: ‘We had a really great day all in all. The people who came along opened up their pockets massively for this amazing cause.’

Supermarket giants Sainsbury’s, where Megan and Liam work, did their bit to help out by donating a variety of its Tu clothing.

There was also a raffle with prizes including vouchers for Lemon Jelli, IBounce, South Devon Railway and a 19-inch TV.
