ALL those people out and about basking in today’s glorious sunshine are being urged to take precautions after the Met Office issued a heat wave alert for Devon.
The weather centre is predicting 80 per cent probability of heatwave conditions from today (Monday) until Thursday (July 21).
While most of us will be digging out our flip flops and shorts, it is important to remember people who are at risk are aware.
Devon County Council has made a plea to ensure everyone, especially those most vulnerable, take steps to remain cool and hydrated.
Older people, young children, people will serious chronic conditions, people with mental health issues, drugs and drink misusers and people who are physically active are considered to be most at risk.
