Two days of top class jump racing brought the crowds flocking into Newton Abbot at the weekend for the racecourse's biggest event of the year.

The Summer Jump Festival included Saturday's feature £30,000 handicap hurdle and the £40,000 Lord Mildmay Memorial Handicap Chase on Sunday.

Among the big names taking part were champion jockey Tony McCoy and Richard Johnson, who ended up scooping the big win.

With soaring temperatures on Sunday, ice creams, champagne and a pair of designer shades were the order of the day for those wanting to keep cool.
