THERE were fewer than 150 Covid cases in Teignbridge over the past week.

The latest Government figures for the district show that between May 5 and 11, 149 people had a confirmed positive test result. This was a decrease of -3.2% compared to the previous seven days.

Sadly though, the district saw three people die within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test during the same time.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 12 patients in hospital with coronavirus on May 3.

The number of tests has been decreasing since Covid restrictions were abolished in April.

Between May 4 and 10 there have been 6,397 tests in Teignbridge. This shows a decrease of -6.4% compared to the previous seven days.
