CRIME in Teignmouth and Dawlish has plummeted.
Offences have fallen by 22.8 per cent in the last six months – the biggest in any of the Devon and Cornwall Police areas.
A delighted Insp Chris Shaw, the sector head, said there was no single factor to explain the decrease.
'It has involved a lot of hard work by the police, partner agencies, the use of CCTV, and the cooperation of the public,' he said.
