FIRE crews from across Devon, including Buckfastleigh, are currently tackling a house fire in a seaside village this afternoon.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have mobilised several appliances to a domestic property fire in the Clematon Hill area.

‘Crews are currently hard at work tackling the fire and have advised that all residents in the near by area should keep windows and doors shut due to a large amount of black smoke caused by the blaze’, a spokesperson for the service said.

Folly Hill is closed both ways, though traffic is coping well.

The Environment Agency has been informed.
