PEAK Performance lived up to their name in Newton Abbot's Carnival Tractor Pull, in front of St Leonard's Clock Tower on Wednesday.

The six-man team from Steve's Gym pulled the four-and-a-half-tonne tractor, loaned by local agricultural firm C R Willcocks and Co Ltd, in a record breaking time.

They clocked an amazing 44.2 secs with B&Q 34 seconds adrift in the runners-up spot recording a time of 1 min 18.6 secs.

In third place was team 2 from the Rio Grande who came in a further 12 seconds behind with a time of 1 min 30 secs.
