FLOODING has forced bosses to shut a pedestrian footpath running over the Fishwick Feeder at the Stover Canal.

Officials from the canal trust revealed this week severe weather has damaged the crossing – making it impassable.

A spokesman said: ‘Please use the Stover Trail for access to Graving Lock Dock.

‘Our volunteer workforce will effect repairs as soon as possible.’

Members of the public have been urged to avoid the area.
