WORK by Dawlish artist and cleric Robin Murch is on show at Teignmouth Methodist Church.

Canon Murch, the theological folk artist, is exhibiting his work entitled A New Vision Examined.

It runs until Saturday and is open every day from 10.30am to 4pm.

Robin hopes to be at the exhibition in person for much of the opening times to meet visitors and discuss his works.

Ken Holland, church council secretary for Teignmouth Methodist Church, said this was a first for the church.

He said: ‘To open our doors and invite visitors to view artwork has been a real pleasure and a privilege.

‘We are trying to become more involved with Teignmouth’s Arts Quarter as we are situated right in the middle of it.

‘Robin’s exhibition as been utterly unique in several ways:

‘It’s not an art exhibition in the mainstream sense, his work is not for sale. ‘It could hardly be described as pretty and its intention is to make people think.

‘Much of it is very deep and challenging.

‘They are not religious paintings, but visions of world problems, attitudes and awareness.

‘It has been well attended this week.’
