A CALL has gone out for musicians in the Ashburton area to form the town’s first community folk orchestra.

Award-winning folk musician David Faulkner is making a beautiful noise about putting the mixed-ability ensemble together.

It will be an ‘open’ group, meaning everyone is free to join up... provided they have an instrument, some enthusiasm and a willingness to embrace the enterprise.
