A CHANCE to travel the bus routes of a bygone age on is coming to Newton Abbot.
The Devon General Society, formed in 1982 to perpetuate interest in the former Devon General Omnibus & Touring Company Limited and its successors, is holding an event in the town on Sunday, September 3.
Dubbed the 'Devon General Remembered', the event, which will be based at Highweek Way, will see free rides on the society's heritage buses.
From 10am to 4pm people can catch a ride on an old bus, which will be revisiting old routes.
It will be an opportunity for passengers to see what buses used to look like and how they used to be run.
