A KINGSTEIGNTON councillor has resigned after becoming disillusioned with the lack of powers of the town council.
Ken Dennis, who had served for five years, resigned at the end of Wednesday's annual town council meeting.
He had been chairman of the works services and planning committee and yesterday explained that he was disillusioned with the whole system.
'The main reason I have resigned is sheer frustration.
'The town council is only a consultee and Teignbridge and Devon county councils have the last word. That is the bugbear.
