A GARDEN fete set to support the Scouts is being held on Saturday, June 18.

From 2.30pm to 4.30pm the grounds of Chao Nan, the house opposite Bishopsteignton village shop, will be open to the public for a garden fete.

The family friendly event, which is in aid of Bishopsteignton Scout Group, will feature all manner of activities to get involved with: games, stalls, water slide, bouncy castle and much more.

It is the Scouts biggest fundraiser of the year and the group are trying to raise money to build a new Scout hut.

Dartmoor Brewery have awarded the fundraiser a cask of their beloved Jail Ale for attending adults to enjoy - there will also be other refreshments available.

Entry for adults costs £1, with all the money raised going towards supporting Bishopsteignton Scouts Group, and children enter for free.
