DAWLISH is gearing up for a packed programme of events today to continue the Coronation celebrations.
Organisers are busy setting up before the day kicks off at 11am for Dawlish Celebrates the Big Coronation Lunch.
Running until 5pm, there is a competition to dress up as a King or Queen, face painting and circus skills, paint splat and the Bake Off competition which will be judged later this morning.
Torbay Brass Band will be performing at the Bandstand until noon followed by the High Cs choir in the marquee.
Wrecked Again will be on a 1pm at the Bandstand.
Mayor of Dawlish Lisa Mayne will welcome everyone at 1.45pm and there will be prayers from Christians Together in Dawlish and District.
This will be followed by a Crown Parade around the Lawn with a prize for the best.
Historian David Force will be in action between 2.30pm and 3.30pm in the marquee giving a talk about Coronation memorabilia and life in Dawlish at Coronations Through the Ages.
Dawlish Rock Waves will be performing between 3.30pm and 5pm at the Bandstand.
Friends of Dawlish Library round off the day with quiz evening 7pm for 7.30pm in the marquee.
