IT is not just us humans readying ourselves for the Coronation, a Giraffe has got in on the action.

Inanimate he may be but that has not stopped Gerald the Giraffe from donning colours of red, white and blue for His Majesty's Coronation this Saturday, May 6.

Hailing from Paignton Zoo, Gerald, with a helping hand from residents of Grafton Road, Newton Abbot, is often dressed up with themed clobber, such as when he was decked out in Easter attire for that period.

A spokesman for Gerald said: 'Gerald wishes you all a happy Coronation!'
