ONE of Devon’s most popular music festivals will be making its primetime TV debut on Friday night (SEP 30).

At this year’s Glas-Denbury music festival, organisers welcomed TV crews to the event to film an episode of Channel 5’s Carry on Caravanning.

Show bosses got in touch with the family-friendly event wanting to come along with a retired married couple who had a motorhome.

The couple had never been to a music festival before and it is one of the top things on their bucket list.

‘They loved what they saw on the website and of course Glas-Denbury could not have been happier to welcome them,’ said festival organiser Emma Twamley.

‘The couple wanted to experience the festival world and take part in things they had never done before so as well as dancing their socks off to a multitude of genres of music, they also took part in lots of activities.’ she added.

The TV stars took part in laughing yoga, healing, hula hooping and circus skills before being glittered up by the festival’s glitter fairies.

Emma said: ‘By the end of the weekend the happy couple were buzzing about all the new things they had the taken part in and how welcoming they had found everybody.

‘They have the festival bug and vowed to return next year with their children and grandchildren to enjoy it all.’

Glas-Denbury will feature on the Channel 5 show at 9pm on Friday, September 30.
