The switch on of fundraising Christmas lights in Newton Abbot attracted a large crowd on Sunday evening.
Fred Tozer has decorated his St Marychurch Road home for the past seven years and raised thousands of pounds for good causes in the process.
This year he is supporting Rowcroft Hospice whose nurses cared for his late wife Shirley.
Mr Tozer is hoping this year's collection will top the previous best of around £800.
The 80 or so people who were present on the first night contributed more than £200.
The lights will be on each night from 5pm - 10pm.
