A GROWING number of women are joining Dawlish Townswomen's Guild and getting involved in the life of the town.

A total of 36 members attended February's meeting of the group, including two new members and three visitors.

They heard news of a packed agenda coming up in the next few months.

The rambling group will take a walk around Cockington next Frday after meeting at Dawlish train station at 10.30am.

The drama and choir groups have also started work on various projects for the coming months.

The guild will hold its annual general meeting at Torquay's Livermead House hotel on April 25.
