A TOWN centre landmark is getting a check-up today.
The Drum clock atop Lloyds Bank in Newton Abbot has been there for more than a century, and has been in its current form since 2004.
The man who installed it is back today giving it a health check for the first time in nearly 20 years.
He’ll be taking off the front face to reveal its workings and give them the once-over.
The company undertaking the operation are taking the opportunity to inspect the fascia of the building in Courtenay Street to ensure all is in good repair.
