STORM DORIS has done her bit to disrupt travel across Teignbridge today (Feb 3rd)
Strong southerly winds and driving rain caused some train companies to cancel trains rather than run the gauntlet of waves crashing over the line through Dawlish.
Fortunately sea defences at Dawlish were holding up to what the storm threw at them.
Teignbridge Council was forced to close the Point Car Park in Teignmouth. A TDC spokesman said: ‘The combination of high tides and strong winds was forcing waves straight into the car park and so the decision to close for public safety."
