A LIFE-SAVING defibrillator is to be installed outside the cricket pavilion at Bovey Tracey Recreation Ground.

Costing around £1,500, the defibrillator and cabinet is being funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF), and it has come about thanks to the collective effort of the town’s football club, cricket club, swimming pool association, tennis club, bowls club and town council.

The organisations in conjunction with the town council, joined forces to become a community of lifesavers to have the public access defibrillator and it was awarded a CPR training kit by the foundation.

It received the Call Push Rescue training kit following its successful application to the charity for a Nation of Lifesavers Community Package.
