A MEETING of the Newton Abbot to Heathfield Railway Revival Group is being held next month.

The group wants to get the ­disused line up and running again as a tourist attraction and to ease traffic congestion in the area.

Members are meeting at Newton Abbot’s Royal British Legion on September 2 at 7pm to discuss the project and form a committee.

Michael Cooke, who is leading the scheme, said so far they have had great feedback and anyone is ­welcome to attend the meeting.
