VOLUNTEERS and listeners gathered to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Teignbridge Talking Newspaper.

The first edition of the Dyrons Journal was recorded in 1977 with just six listeners.

Now more than 60 visually-impaired people across Teignbridge can keep up with the local news thanks to the team of volunteers who record the talking newspaper every week at the Mid-Devon Advertiser offices in Newton Abbot.
