EXMINSTER Primary School was forced to close at lunchtime today due to having no water.

The closure was announced by Devon County Council as other parts of the village also reported a loss of water supply.

The problems came as water levels had risen across Teignbridge due to Storm Chandra.

One resident reported having no water inside their property or from an outside tap.

The losses were reported to South West Water who advised the issue would take up to six hours to resolve.

Other properties in Brownless also reported having no water.
