PLANS have been unveiled to build up to 250 homes on a prominent Kingsteignton site which could bring in up to £2 million in government cash. ,

Developer Eagle One Homes has revealed it is bidding to develop 28 acres of Penns Mount, including a large public park, community garden and children's play area as well as housing.,

But Andrew Rowe, land manager at Eagle One Homes, explained if the plans get the go ahead, the development would attract approximately £2 million from the government's new homes bonus scheme, aimed at encouraging more house building.,

That cash would be split between Devon County Council and Teignbridge Council, with the district authority gaining about £1.6 million.,
