A YOUNG woman was airlifted to hospital after falling from her horse at Ipplepen today.
The 20-year-old casualty was flown by Devon Air Ambulance to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital.
She fell off her horse with the animal landing on top of her in its tumble to the ground at Park Hill Cross.
The rider, who has not been named, suffered head and hip injuries in the accident at 10am.
The air ambulance was able to land at the village’s cricket field.
