A COMPETITION to find the best-looking illuminated house in the parish of Bovey Tracey has been launched.
Anyone living in Bovey Tracey and Heathfield with a penchant for decorating their home and garden with Christmas lights is invited to enter.
The competition is the brainchild of local businessman Chris Simms of Jolly Roger models and Bovey Tracey mayor Cllr Avril Kerswell and Cllr George Gribble will be taking a tour around the parish on Thursday next week looking at all the entries before making their decision.
There are several categories to enter, and a number of local businesses are donating prizes for the lucky winners. These will include meals at local outlets, goods and services – as well as a model reindeer from Chris. To find out more seek out the Bovey Tracey Christmas lights competition on Facebook.
