TWO men, one armed with a gun, were yesterday still being hunted by police four days after they broke into a restaurant on the outskirts of Kingsteignton and robbed the family who run it early on Sunday.

The raiders struck at 4.30am on Sunday at Sampsons Farm, Preston.

Nigel Bell, his wife Sarah and their young daughter were in bed when the robbers forced their way in. They were threatened and tied up.

Det Insp Nick Wilden, of Newton Abbot police, said the offenders escaped with a small quantity of cash and two shotguns an antique style Greener 12-bore and a Rottweil, also a 12-bore.

It was extremely frightening and traumatic for the family. They were not beaten, but threats were made against them.
