ASHBURTON'S annual illuminated winter carnival lit up the town on Friday with some incredible floats and walking entries.

For once the weather was also kind. It rained during the afternoon but stopped before the procession set off from the Dartmoor Lodge Hotel to wind its way through the town to Balland Lane.
