WENDY Bathard's terrier cross Havoc has been voted runner-up in the inspirational category of Drontal's My Pet Superstar competition.
The nationwide hunt to find the UK's top dog and top cat attracted more than 6,000 entrants and some 75,000 votes.
From November 2006 to October 2007, Wendy, of Bovey Tracey, and Havoc, who will be nine-years-old, completed a 5,000 mile walk around the coastline of Britain.
The walk raised £50,000 for charity, split between the RNLI and the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
To undertake the journey, Wendy packed in her job in education and if all that walking was not enough, when she returned she set up her own dog-walking business Two Feet Four Paws, in Bovey Tracey.
That has proved successful and she is out walking dogs daily and, just for good measure, 50-year-old Wendy and Havoc are also members of the Hash House Harriers' jogging club.
The success in the competition earned Wendy a year's subscription to a pet magazine, a £10 shopping voucher and products from Drontal.
