THE Kerswell-with-Combe Ward saw the South Devon Alliance grab both seats.

Both Jane Taylor and John Radford were elected.

Jane Taylor said: 'It feels fantastic, I think that we both worked really hard. John's been brilliant, he's also the chair of the parish council so he's worked extra hard with that.

'So I'm really pleased now to be able to represent both at parish level and at district level. Really pleased.'

John Radford added: 'When we were out canvasing, the public clearly wanted change and we were welcomed on the doorstep with open arms. It's a fantastic result and I could ask for anything else.'
