A MAN suffered a broken jaw in an incident in Newton Abbot over the weekend.

Police were called on Saturday afternoon to Albert Terrace where a man in his 50s had been assaulted.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

He was questioned and then released on police bail until September 30 pending further inquiries.
