RESIDENTS in Kingsteignton are being invited to attend the town council’s annual town meeting.

The meeting will take place on Friday, April 17, from 6pm at Kingsteignton Community Hall.

It is not a council meeting, but a meeting for the community to hear about what is happening in the town and ask questions - everyone is welcome to come along.

Local clubs and organisations will be presented with grants.

Kingsteignton Town Council comprises 13 councillors, who are all volunteers.

Once a year, a councillor is elected as mayor by their peers, supported by a deputy mayor.

This is for a 12 month period starting in May of each year.
