ASHBURTON'S revitalised library and post office could be up and running as a single enterprise as early as June, it was revealed this week.

Action group members behind the venture are in buoyant mood after securing the final slice of money needed to set up shop in the town this summer.

Both services had been under threat with budget cuts affecting the future of the library and declining trade creating uncertainty for the post office.

But now the future is looking bright with the Friends of Ashburton Library securing the necessary £10,000 grant aid from Dartmoor national park authority.
