That was the SOS sent out today from his desperately upset Newton Abbot owners.

Owen Milton, aged 12, and his mum Kirsty are anxious for news of the flyaway pet who vanished from his home in Torquay Road, probably early on Wednesday.

Storm was spotted in Courtenay Park about 8.30am the same day, having been at liberty for just a few hours.

There are worries that hand-reared Storm may only last a week in the wild. One problem is that his feathers are not waterproof.

He was just seven weeks old in September when he became the family pet for Owen, who has a passion for birds of prey and falconry, and who is a volunteer at the local hawk and owl sanctuary.
