TEN people in Kingsteignton are celebrating after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Little Close neighbours netted the windfall when TQ12 3YZ was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Sunday, January 31.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners.

She said: ‘What a lovely surprise to end the week, I’m thrilled for all of our winners in Kingsteignton. I hope they enjoy spending the win and treat themselves with the prize money.’

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by Postcode Innovation Trust. Its mission is to support charities and social enterprises to deliver impactful, innovative and engaging initiatives across Great Britain.

The trust provides support and funding to charitable organisations who support the furtherance of their aims. Postcode Innovation Trust is a grant-giving body funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding this year.
