The Lansdowne pub in Dawlish is holding a family fun day in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday (August 23) in memory of a member of bar staff.
Emma Rabbage sadly passed away in August 2022 after being diagnosed with cancer.
Every year since, staff at the ‘Lanny’ have held a fundraising event to raise money for the charity that supported her and her family and to remember their colleague and friend.
Emma, who was the mother of two children, had worked at the Lansdowne for over 20 years. She was well known among ‘regulars’ and the wider community of Dawlish for huge smile and big heart.
‘Macmillan Caner Support provided flawless support when it was needed the most. Their help was invaluable and we are passionate about doing whatever we can to assist in this support being available to all those who might need it,’ said Stacey Heggadon from The Lansdowne.
The fun day is aimed at all ages and includes live music, a Punch and Judy show, a hog roast and ice cream from the Local Scoop.
