Members from Newton Abbot Hospital League of Friends could see their fundraising efforts come to fruition at the official opening of Rowcroft Hospice's refurbished Outpatient Clinic this week.
The charity donated £10,000 towards the new complementary therapy room and gym equipment at the facility.
As part of funding made available to support the implementation of the End of Life Care Strategy, the Department of Health made available £40million to help fund improvements to the healing environment of hospices in England.
Rowcroft was awarded a sum of £139,500 to support the £288,000 refurbishment of the Richard Brinsley Centre (RBC), to enhance and improve outpatient facilities.
