Learning to sing has never been so popular, and the health and emotional well-being benefits to be gained from singing have been well documented in recent times.
The Chordettes are an acapella ladies’ four-part close harmony competition chorus, singing every Wednesday evening in Abbotskerswell.
Now is a great time to try singing with The Chordettes, who are holding a one-day workshop on Sunday at Abbotskerswell Village Hall from 9.30am (for a 10am start) until 4pm.
Experienced singers or beginners, and all age groups of ladies are welcome to join the chorus for a fun day learning to sing popular songs in four-part harmony, with tips on breathing, posture and voice projection.
The Chordettes currently have around 50 members (the youngest being 11 years of age).
They enter a national competition each year to maintain a professional standard and continuously improve performance.
If you want to join the fun one-day workshop or find out more, go along to Abbotskerswell Village Hall on Sunday or call musical director Jane Barry on 01626 203901.
