CHILDREN at St Catherine’s C of E Primary School, Heathfield, have been learning life-saving techniques from the region’s top paramedics.
Heather Paget and Sarah Wood from the South Western Ambulance Service gave advice to pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 on when and how to call 999 and what to do in a number of emergency situations.
Teacher Ellie Nichols said: ‘We’re very grateful to Heather and Sarah for spending time with us. The children had a great time and learned some invaluable life-saving skills.’
