Consultants asked to create a vision for the future of Newton Abbot town centre have said the River Lemon could be the key to delivering a fresh new look.

'Bold' things are being promised, although lips are tightly sealed about exactly what that might mean.

Sources close to the decision-makers have suggested that once again the town's cattle market and 1970s Market Walk are likely to come under close scrutiny, the prime location perhaps too tempting for planners to ignore.
